Alpha® MAX Cushion Liner - Overview
The new Alpha® MAX fabric provides a one-two punch against movement and gel delamination. Ideal for use in suction sockets.
Alpha® MAX Cushion Liner - Specification
The Alpha® MAX Cushion Liner, the newest sibling in Ohio Willow Wood family of Alpha® products, incorporates the same skin-friendly thermoplastic elastomer gel, which contains mineral oil for conditioning the skin. The major difference in this liner is the MAX fabric that was developed exclusively for Ohio Willow Wood by our fabric supplier. The MAX fabric provides an outer cover for the liner that has tested three times more abrasion resistant than other liners on the market today. The fabric has also virtually eliminated any gel separation that can occur over time with all liners. The Alpha® MAX Liner is the perfect interface solution for the challenges faced by prosthetists with patients that are highly active or have unique wear issues.

Now Alpha® sockets can be made quickly and easily with the new Omega™ System. This timesaving package includes a broad range of tools incorporating the best of Tracer Technology. Precise and comfortable fitting sockets are created with state-of-the-art 3-D shape capture techniques and modification tools that offer both prosthetists and amputees amazing timesaving possibilities.

Choose from three gel thicknesses to maximize comfort and socket fit, and choose from six sizes to adapt to the amputee's limb circumference. Additionally, the medium, medium-plus, and large sizes are available in three distinct styles to accommodate various limb shapes. The Alpha® MAX Cushion Liner is ideal for use in suction sockets with the Alpha® Suction Pro or Suction Pyramid.

Use the thickest liner that is comfortable for the patient. The 6mm and 9mm liners provide the most cushioning for the amputee, and are often the best choice. The 3mm liner is useful at times when at least 3mm of shrinkage is expected, so the amputee can be moved into thicker liners as the shrinkage progresses.

A new socket should be fabricated, according to instructions, for best performance of the Alpha® Liner
