Alpha® MAX Locking Liner incorporates the skin-friendly thermoplastic
elastomer gel, containing mineral oil, for conditioning the skin.
The MAX fabric, developed exclusively for Ohio Willow Wood by their
fabric supplier, provides an outer cover that has tested three times
more abrasion resistant than other liners on the market today. The
fabric has also virtually eliminated any gel separation that can
occur over time with all liners. In addition, the Alpha® MAX
features a Stabilizing Strip sewn down both sides of the liner.
This Stabilizing Strip has proven to reduce movement within the
socket and increase durability of the liner. The Alpha® MAX
Liner is the perfect interface solution for the challenges faced
by prosthetists with patients that are highly active or have unique
wear issues.
Choose from three gel
thicknesses to maximize amputee comfort and socket fit, and choose
from six sizes to adapt to the amputee's limb circumference. Additionally,
the medium, medium-plus, and large sizes are available in three
distinct styles to accommodate various limb shapes.
The Alpha® MAX Locking
Liner is designed for use with a range of locks provided by Ortho
Europe on locking lanyard, for the ultimate in prosthesis security.
The medium and medium-plus sizes are available with the same small
umbrella that is on the small liner.
Use the thickest liner that
is comfortable for the patient. The 6mm and 9mm liners provide
the most cushioning for the amputee, and are often the best choice.
The 3mm liner is useful at times when at least 3mm of shrinkage
is expected, so that you can move the amputee into thicker liners
as the shrinkage progresses.
A new socket should be
fabricated, according to instructions, for best use of the Alpha®
Liner.
