SENSOR PROFILE
Knee is supplied with a simple to use software application which
enables the amputee to view the number of steps taken, the activity
level attained and the distance travelled. This information is recorded
over time and is presented in both numerical and graphical formats. |

Our extensive
testing programme proved the electronic technology used in the SENSOR
PROFILE Knee to be 100% accurate in the measurement of activity,
which was not the case with the more conventional measuring devices
used for comparison. |

SENSOR PROFILE Knee is an example of
21st century precision engineering but all engineered components
will wear over a period of time and therefore a maintenance programme
is sensible, as with even the most expensive, well built motorcar.
The philosophy of the past was often "use until it breaks"
This is no good for the amputee with only one prosthesis. We all
know of examples of knee units which have needed repair after
a short while and others of the same design which show no sign
of wear after many years. The guessing is removed with SENSOR
PROFILE. Service intervals can be planned and this will allow
engineers to replace any worn parts to prevent premature failure,
even for the most demanding amputees.
